When Death visits, she allows you to relive one memory from your life—which memory will you choose?
An hour-long show with newly commissioned classical music by composers Brandon K. Smith and Zack Browning, interactive multimedia, and an original magical realism play. Starring actors: Jared Leaf, Karsten Freeman, and Jenafer Smallwood as Death.
Premiered at the National Flute Association 51st Convention on August 3, 2023 in Phoenix, AZ.
ORIGINS AFTER THE DARK//CONCERT + ORIGINAL PLAY
A classical music concert unlike anything you've ever seen before! An hour of electrifying classical music, all with roots or relationships to global mythology, is joined with an original narrative story in a live theatrical performance. Written by Vijay M. Rajan, the accompany play is an epic fantasy with monsters, knights, fight choreography -- weaved into the narrative of the music, the entire story will leave you cheering!
Premiered on January 4, 2020 in Milpitas, CA at Stage One Creative Space with Bay Area actors of The Hive SJ.
Including music composed by Charles Rochester Young, Bernard Andres, Andy Scott, Alan Hovhaness, Ravi Shankar, and Robert Paterson
